I’m excited to announce that I’ve migrated my personal website to Jekyll! This will make it much easier for me to share regular insights, experiences, and thoughts on topics I’m passionate about.
What You Can Expect
I’ll be writing about:
- Software Analytics & Modernization: How to use data-driven approaches to understand and improve legacy systems
- AI-powered Development: Exploring how generative AI and agentic tools are transforming how we write and evolve software
- Architecture Evolution: Practical strategies for modernizing complex systems without the big rewrite
- Wardley Mapping: Using strategic thinking to guide software evolution decisions
Why Jekyll?
Jekyll provides a perfect balance of simplicity and power. It allows me to:
- Write in Markdown (my preferred format)
- Version control everything with Git
- Keep the clean, minimal design I love
- Focus on content rather than infrastructure
The Migration Journey
I started with a single index.html file and had Claude Code migrate it to Jekyll through conversation.
Stay Tuned
I have several posts in the pipeline about:
- Using Claude Code for legacy system analysis
- Practical patterns for agentic software modernization
- Lessons learned from consulting engagements
